My name is Brian Thomas, and I am owner and creator of Traveling Relief massage, and I come to you with over 20 yrs experience in the massage therapy industry.

Now my career was not always in massage and body work.  I started off as a mechanical engineer in the late nineties designing mobility scooters which lasted about sixteen years. It was along the way that I happened to stumble across massage therapy which at the time I knew nothing about it. To my surprise, I enjoyed the field and appreciated what it had to offer and have continued with it to this date. In the beginning, I was only able to practice massage therapy on the side and at times not at all due to my primary career, family and kid sports. Fast forward to 2017, I was unexpectedly laid off from my engineering career and it was then I had to decide when engineering work was unavailable. For the past 8 years, I have worked mostly as a massage therapist in some of the local spas and now I am looking to bring that environment and experience to you. My certifications include Swedish; deep tissue; sports massage; hot stone; pre-natal; reflexology; stretch therapy; cupping; myofascial release; and IASTM (instrument assist soft tissue mobilization).

In addition to my massage therapy license, I also became interested in the field of physical therapy while attending massage school and when I left the engineering field, I was given the opportunity to attend PTA school at PSU which happened during the pandemic. I received my diploma and license in 2021 and worked for several months in an outpatient clinic. However, something inside pulled me back to massage therapy for now. Massage therapy and bodywork allows me to witness and appreciate the relief my clients feel when leaving my table!

My PA massage license # is MSG000598 along with my PTA license # TE013005. I have also been and currently a professional member of ABMP.
